1000 Watt Hps Ballast Kit For Marijuana

Hey so yea i went into Kelownas "indoor Garden" shop and picked up the 1000 watt HPS ballast kit with lightbulb for 200 bucks. on talking to the salesperson he told me i dont really need a hood for the light. is 1000 watts 2 much light for 2 plants also how far away should it be from the plant.

1000 watt bulb should be anywhere from 2 to 6 feet above the plantand it will cover 8 feet in diameter. Hold you hand under the lamp and wait 10 seconds, if you feel the heat then your light is to close. Also 1000 watt bulb for 2 plants, you will just get bigger and more dense buds.
