im not exactly new at this but dont have much experience either.
im not fond of all the technical workings and terms so go easy on me. heres what i have got

i have a cabnit i made into a grow box all lined with shiny tin foil
i have a 18 inch flouresent light 15 watts. im a week into growing a seed without a germination process and it sprouted in 22.5 hours
i have a pot i dont know whether to measure the diamatur from top of pot or bottom the bottom is about 20 centimeters top maybe 40
i have it on a plate ontop of to little peices or eraser to elevate to let it drip out easyer at the bottom i was having problem before
i had the light 3 inches from the top of the pot
i added some nutreint spikes it is 13-4-5 / nitrogen-phosphoric acid-potash
i dont know what else to say but just 2 questions

i am doing this right? where do i go from here???

first off , Dont use tin foil, it turns your light into heat , use better reflective material like , Mylar or White polly

what is mylar and where do i find it?
also i saw a video on youtube saying white walls or something white on the wall will work good to somewhere along those lines white wall i dunno its supposed to reflect light. anyways where do i find mylar

also today when i checked the plant the stem is getting thicker than i had seen as i only check every so often once a day but it seemed a big change to me. it has a little bit of a green tip the bottom of the stem look a bit white and i dont know if theres soil on it or what but its a bit brown but i dident want to touch it

and is sunlight ok as well as my light in the box because my window sill is great for a few hours of the day and it gets nice and warm like summer temp unlike my room which i try to keep heated with my mini space heater anyways give me your advice and ill try to get a picture of my 6 day old plant

I personally use Mylar. You can order it off line or go to a local hydro shop and pick some up. Its not to expensive and is 92- 97% reflective.:) It also dosent create hot spots or conduct heat.:eek: IMO(in my opinion) use mylar or white sheets. Just make sure that little to no light goes through the sheets because than your loosing light (IE food) for the plants!!

ok i know this is going to sound very dumb to ask but is it the root or stem that comes out of the seed after planting because my cat just dumped my plant and i think its screwed now but it doesent look hurt at all i dont know:(
i planted it but i saw that the seed halves came off and theres this thing that looks kinda like leaves im confuzed now

That little thing you see coming out of the seed is a root.;) That digs itself into the ground and from there gathers nutrients to grow the actual plant. As long as the root is faced in a downward angle shouldent be a problem. I have this one plant currently that the little root after germination got stuck upside down when i was putting it in the rockwool. It took about 1 to 1 1/2 weeks for me to even see her come up with 2 leaves.:mad: Make sure that little sucker is aimed down IMO.:guitar:

thanks yea i have grown b4 but it was my friends plants when they had to leave town

this is my first time starting from scratch the root was growing for a whole week coming out of the ground i was wondering why it looked weird lol
so with the root down it will probably be able start growing better now it has access to water now lol **** ok you know what that is pretty funny lol:D:D:D

Use some type of program to resize the pictures. (Photoshop or some other utility) Resize the photo to 1000 by 750. Those are the dimensions that the images must be at for them to be uploaded to this specific site. Once you have the image and its resized simply scrolls down to where it says Manage Attachments. Click on it than find where the image is on your computer and simply add it. Its that simple. :D
