Under funded...Under Promoted...Sh1tty PR...for what ever reason, they never reach recognition by the masses. I continue to be amazed by how much music is out there. Its a shame "they" broadcast the same artist/songs over and over and over.

How about a thread to introduce old/new artists to MP? No common artists please.

old: smutpeddlers track: **** you.....that's why!

How about a UK group called 'Gong' from the 70s?
They do a lot of 'hippy' type stuff. VERY trippy when you're high. :)
I don't know anyone else who has heard of them.
Or a group called 'Gentle Giant? Kind of like medieval rock.
Sort of Jethro-Tullish.
But then again, I'm a 52 yr old SOB. LOL

There is a band in the UK called Zero 7, they are amazing but not recognised by the masses.. tho i hear their songs put in as background music for documentaries and tv shows. Its annoying as they are a great band.

You really wanna be fobbing off local and major radio stations and going with internet radio stations, can listen to anything you want, any genre, big or small groups,

'Aesop Rock' (from NYC) is a lyrical genious if you're into underground hip-hop. I dont like most rap or hip-hop but this guy is different.
If you're into Hardcore, metal,or any hard style of rock my all time favorite
'Madball' (also NYC) is far from mainstream. Search on myspace to listen.
