hey i was at home depot and seen MH and HPS light bulbs that could fit in the standard light fixture i was wondering because i have one of those metal reflective down things to stick the lights in but i keep readin about ballast and things like that. would this work with jus the light bulbs?? please help thank u

You'll need a ballast, specifically rated for whatever bulb you want to use (ex: 250 watt). They regulate the amount of electricity that goes through the bulb.. so I imagine it'd blow up if you put it in a normal light socket.
