Popcorn cuts...

Well after a chat in the chatroom with Riz and Dr. Greenthumb we decided to start a thread called "popcorn cuts" I comented on how I cut anything that is on a third branch or a branch that has no fan leaves. I get a 1/2 oz of good (NOT great) smoke from these little pocorn seed sized buds as early as day 18 of flower. Well I will post some pics real soon and I think Riz has some now....Lets see where the thread goes.

heh... yeah, thats a pic of our biggest of all our popcorn, we didnt trim it all as most of our popcorn is kind of tied up at the mo, but we managed to get a few undercuttings off..

Yeah there undergrowth, check out the plants in our journal man, there monsters lol... that one in my hand is the biggest of all of them, the rest are tiny popcorn ;)

I just lit up a popcorn too. Do you think that pulling off these little samples will shock the plant and delay its growth? That thought just occurred to me and it was a buzz kill.

well my camera is a dead solder, so the pics are out...oh well. No it should not be a buz kill, As long as you took only the little tiny ones and it totaled less than 30% of the plant....should only be like 2% actualy....if you only took the under brush. When I got smoke I leave it...When I dont....well it's a quick fix....lol....IN MY OPINION (different than some) The plant responds by sending the nutrients to the bigger buds....think about it...the plant is given so much water and ferts and light....thats more for the more potent and bigger buds....Its the same consept as topping. You top and in theory, the lower buds grow bigger. I use it a 1st step in 3 steps of harvesting. first the underbrush at about day 20, top at around 45 to 50 and the lower buds around day 60 to 65.
