so check this out guys. i think we should maybe also have a user of the month award like the bud pic of the month? i dont think it would be a bad idea to applaud some of the great guys and girls of the site for there help and advice. alot of people on here should be recognized for what they do and just thought this would be pretty cool and maybe pursuade more of the users to try to help out and add more info? tell me what ya think.

That's a pretty good idea man. I think it would be best if the Moderators were excluded from the votes however. It's kind of our job to help everyone. Each of us Mods accepted our position to help. If we had not wanted to help, we wouldn't have accepted our titles.

I don't know about the rest of the Mods, but I get a heck of a kick outta helping growers. It makes me feel like a rebel!

Lets figure some rules and how to set it all up.

We could do it like this: you can't join the contest yourself, someone else has to recommend you for the contest. For example, if I think Stoney is doing a great job I can submit him for the contest. At the end of the month we check all members names that were recommended and let people vote.

Not sure what you guys think of how to do it.

and that way of nominating would work great, only can be nominated by another person..not urself.. just put there avatar and screenname or nickname opposite of the bud pic of the month on the homepage, at the top left??

I will breath life into this thread on more time... I feel the rules are fairly simple and clearly stated above. First, one must be nominated to be given a chance to be inducted into the Most Valuable Poster's Hall of Fame. Only one nomination per person. This will help people coexist and build a stronger relationship on and with the site. And simply at the end of the month there will be a vote.

Question: Should the nominator's user ID be kept private? Rep points for the winner?

Sounds like a great idea to me.. But how about a little twist, 2 positions,

MP User of the month, and MP Mod of the month? I mean i for one am happy to show my apreciation to those who help, i think its important, but i think mods play a major part in peoples grows and are always way to cool, calm, and collected and do an amazing job.. so how about we give them something to celebrate? lol
