how far to plant from stream

Well....by my house is a small creek/stream that runs through. I was planning on planting the 20 or so bag seeds that didn't germ in the paper towel outside. More of a "just to see" kind of thing. I really don't care if they grow or not. I have my indoor grow. But I figured if they take, they take. I don't plan on doing much of anything to take care of them. Just going to let them grow wild. When I move away from here in August, hopefully someone will come across them and it will make them happy:p .

Anyway, I was wondering about how far from the streams edge to put the beans in. We get thunderstorms here than bring down some heavy rain and make the banks swell. I was thinking around 2-3 feet from the waters edge?

alrighty, sounds good. Will I have to be giving them water in the early stages or will the areas on the sides of the creek have enough moisture in them that don't have to do anything. I really want these to just grow completely naturally on their own...Ignoring the fact that I'm placing the seeds. Hopefully if there is a mix of males/females they will pollinate and start doing that on their own.

btw KB...Your spot looks really nice. Nice and sunny. In the summer this area will become overgrown and the plants will definitely be fighting for light. We'll see how it goes!

yeah man they can grow with out you giving them watering when they next to a stream i still like to check mine out and water them every now and again and water them when we haven had rain for a while but yeah trust me the plant will grow and i like to trim back the weed in a foot circle around them cuz they **** up water to so yeah you can plant them outtheir and leave them and they will grow most likly

Look for the old high water level and plant above it. Mj wont stant but about a few hours in the water and it will start to die. Slim
