Lighting Question

Hi all,

I want to change my light cycle to different times, for a variety of reasons.

I am running 18/6 and plan to stay that way I just want to alternate when my 6 hours of dark are, my question is what is the best way to make the time change with the least amount of stress on the plants ( which are still young ).

Let the lights run longer for one day and begin my dark cycle at the different time? or do it step by step?

Also - My room tends to get hot even with a fan running - will two fans help? If I keep the door wide open I can keep the temp down but I foresee problems with that plan down the road.

Any advise is appreciated.
