We all have 5 gal buckets for our plants so our little baby's can have room for there roots to grow !
So how much of the 5 gal bucket does the roots take up??
Can I take 1/4 piece of plywood and fit it tight into the middle of the 5 gal and make it for 2 Plants??
lolz , DIY :)
i have bigger pots now cant say by the gallon but my previous pots were half the size & took up the whole space so it could be possible ... but i need to figure out gallons first haha

The plants roots will fill a 15 gallon pot if you put a plant in it. The more room you give your roots the larger the plants will get. I wouldn't put more than one plant in a pot. I have plants in 1 gallon, 5 gallon, and 15 gallon. I up the size of the pot as the plant needs the room. When you need to water more than every other day it is time to give them more room. The longer you veg your plants the more room they will need to reach their potential.

I just wonder because of the roots i wouldn't want them to tangle if the pots was bigger and wider ! Just trying to make more room for more plants!

You could put 2 clones in it. I have 2 clones in a 2 gal bag. I put them on 12/12 yesterday and they are around 6 inches now. If you've got a few grows under your belt, got ph, watering and feeding down then I don't see the problem in growing 2 plants(from clone) in 1 container. I wouldn't recommend it from seed though. You could be growing a male and a female and the males roots would just waste root room for the female.

If one of the plants becomes male it be GONE!
figure if I had 6 gal bucks I could put a piece of wood in between the 2 all the way down to the bottom i be able to put one plant on each side for more plants with less buckets and that way the roots wouldn't tangle. It was Just a thought though.

If one of the plants becomes male it be GONE! The roots wouldn't be though. Hey, man, the only real way to find out for sure is try it. If you seperated your 5 gal bucket into 2 halfs you'd have 2 1/2 gals a plant. I grow with 3 gal grow bags so I think it could work. Whatever you decide, keep us posted.

Yes it can be done. Don't put a piece of wood in the bucket it will just take up space. Just put them in there and they will be fine. If you get a male though, don't try to pull it up. Just cut it down at the base of the stalk.

you dont have to split the container in half just grow 2-3 per 5 gal and when the male pops up kill it.
