Anybody know if MJPlants change or flip flop sex during growth for any reason? I thought I read that somewhere. Just trying to make sure before I have to pull it out of the soil?

It's called hermaphrodite. Put that last word in the search box above for explanation:>)

Uhm you said do they flip-flop sex? I take it you mean change from male to female or vice versa? If not, then what do you mean? If so, the answer is no. A male will always be a male. A female will always be a female or Hermie.

A friend also told me to wait, it might be a hermie. How can you tell the difference? I have found a few little, and I mean little, balls. They formed where the pointy hair looking folicle things are.:hubba: Alot of people I believe mistake these hairs to be females when it is to early to tell. Is that True? Is this where the balls would form? I mean if it was showing signs of being female all along, then it wouldn't have just grown balls all of the sudden. And if it is just now showing signs of sex then it must be a male. Correct?

Any way you can get a pic? If its a male, its just a male. If its a female, it could be a hermie.

Pretty much what your looking for, is a pod that doesnt sag down. Anything that sags down and looks like a glove or a nut i wouldnt trust. The female pod will be pointing upward and also have a white pistil coming out of the top. A hermi is of course a female that has pretty much changed into a male. It will have pollen sacks just like males, but also it will provide a small about of bud that will be filled with seeds(ew).

Once a male is a male there is nothing you can do but kill it. Reverting it back to veg wont do anything. Trust me, if there was anyway at all to "flip flop" sex, dont you think everyone would know by now, considering thats the biggest problem most people have. When you have a female just make sure everything is 100%.

The pods don't sag. Nothing sags. Not sure if they are pods anymore. I'll wait and see. I'm putting it on a 18/6 cycle as soon as I figure out what to do with my seedlings growing in the same closet. They will be putting a little light off. Fluorescent light. Not direct but I still should find some way to hide that light? Correct?

Yep, I had the worst problem with my white rhino males from nv going hermie on me. I posted about it on another site and it seemed a few people had the same problem. I was going to use my wrs' as fathers but they all(3) turned hermie on me.

actually there is no way of changing sex in MJ the GREAT!
BUT... i also read that during veg time if 18/6 is interupted during dark with light for one hour in it's 3rd & 4th week this can produce females.
i don't know if fact but i did hear about it. i wouldn't even try it because i feel the others "real ladies" may not like the dark interuption. not only that but who knows if a plant was going to be male and by interupting dark like that produces females. huuummmmm.....
