Hey guys sorry to be the bearer of bad news but no signature images will be used here. For one, they tend to really mess with the flow of the board and can be quite distracting.
Hope you can understand.

I tend to think that my sig pic would not mess with the flow anymore then the Writing people have in there sig.. or all the smile faces etc....
I disagree with this decision... and well continue to request they open up sig images...

Sorry but it looks like a no go.

why not just allow 1 image and restrict it to a small size? Nothing intrusive. Honestly I think the 10 to 20 lines of text + giant spaces and quotes is more intrusive. Everytime I see Mutt post I want to die because I have to scroll soooo much.
sorry mutt :(

I agree.. so in protest.. i am going to just include my sig image at the end of every post... basically the same thing...

Sorry guys but I personally dislike having images in sigfiles.
I have seen forums like this and it's really hard to keep focused on the thread and postings. It looks much cleaner just what Smokinmom says.
I'm really open to alot of ideas but this idea is a no no for me.
Sorry!

well lets restric the words to so many lines.... sigs like mutts are worse than sigs...

Images also slow the loading of a page to a crawl for the dial up users... That is why there are thumbnails of people's pictures on the pages, not the full size picture.

That better. Next time try a PM if it urks ya man. Sorta rude the way you went about it. my sig had spaces and I have a very large flatscreen man, didn't know it was showing up the way it was. my bad.

I was just using you as an example. There are others out there. I didn't mean anything bad by it, sorry. :(

huh? the img function is for everyone on the net... thumbs are for 56k lamers. Just put a 56k warning in the title and I don't see a problem. Who uses 56k anymore anyways? Are we in 95?
Actually DL that is the correct way to post a pic, is there a wrong way? Thumbs are just so we don't get wallpaper size photos posted that make the site 9 times larger than it should be. If its a medium size pic I don't see the problem. It just seems you don't like everytihng but thumbs... doesn't mean its the wrong way. Personally I hate thumbtags.

This has been the way the site has been ran since I have been here. If MarP wants to change the standards he can. The first time I posted pics on this site, I did it incorrectly, by not using the server. I was written a pm and it was changed. I plan to proceed as how I was taught.

If thats not the way to post pics.. then why is there a button???
Im not about to up my photos to the server... id rather keep there on third party anyway...

You would rather your photos be in the states than on a foreign server????

lol, well i don't really like the sig pictures either. The little text bars though are okay in my oppinion. That have a tiny little strip the size of this ||||||||||||||| <== and it'll say something inside of it like "stoner" "programmer" etc.

Nah never really cared to be honest... this server can be viewed by anyone.. so i mean.. either way its not safe... some of the americans on this site are very paranoid, and it may be for good reason.... but im not that worried.. either way.. i think my sig banner is far less harsh on the eyes then the persons sig above me...

Would you like me to shorten it? :)

It's really not that big of a deal either way. But, I can understand what they are saying about the text in sigs. Like the way mutts sig was SO huge. Dewayne's is pretty big as well. No offense to anyone. But, having a sig the size of Dewayne's with smiley's, quote's, saying's, etc is pretty much the same thing.
Take it everyone is a lil grumpy today.
US citizens waitin for that day off tomorrow.
I'll close this thread and call it the day.
