They have been vegging for about a month and a half now and are just over a foot tall.

Notice the red color on some of the branches in the 3rd pic? Hopefully thats a good thing...

thanks, i'll probably need all the luck I can get haha. I don't even know what I have growing. The seeds I obtained just came from one of my stashes.

I know If I buy seeds then I would be guaranteed a good smoke... but i'm guessing you don't always need to go out and buy amazing seeds to get good bud??... I say this because i'm having pretty good success so far with mine.

No, you don't definitely don't have to go buy "name brand" seeds to get good bud. You will be surprised how much better bud is when it is properly cared for, and properly harvested, dried and cured.

Well i have another question..

Would it be too late to take a clone from one of these plants since I started the flowering cycle yesterday? I don't really want to be left with nothing when it comes time to harvest cause i'm going to end up cutting the whole plant down. I don't even think the branches are long enough to clone yet...but I dunno.

its not too late to clone but it looks like you dont have any branches to cut that are long enough. What I have been doing is i flower my plant for a few weeks and then I take the very bottom branch that will have the least amount of bud and cut it and thats my clone. Some people say dont clone to late into flower but if I see a branch down low on the plant and i know it wont produce much bud I just use it for a clone.

Would 3 weeks into flowering be too long? These plants will probably be nice and bushy by then.
