Hey anyone here know if these lights are good for growing? I found 2 one is skinny and the other is just a normal bulb and was wondering if they would work.....

There made by some brand called Exo Terra and therre called Sun Glow and there purple bulbs. I have one thats skinny and one thats a normal bulb, the skinny one is 40W and the normal looking one thats also purple is 60w.

Will these work for growing indoors?

I am researching, and talking with everyone about lighting needs. Here is what I have leared, you need the full spectrum not just the blue and the red. MJ requires for good health and growth between 3500 - 5000 Lumens per sq foot.
This can generate a good deal of heat so be prepared to use a vent fan, and maybe a moving fan with adjustable speed. If you vent outdoors be ready to deal with the odor if need be. All this is done easily just keep on reading the posts that others have made on that very subject.

Those bulbs are ultraviolet bulbs.

No, they won't work for growing.

I would advise you to read up on a bunch of posts here in the "Indoor Growing" area and learn *before* you plant.

You can learn everything you need to know about growing MJ, but it'll take some work on your part by reading a bunch of information that has already been posted here.
