How much would you predict I would have to pay if I wnated to grow very little but still have a successful grow. Not including the price of the seeds but with the lights and all that?

Using a 2' x 3' x 6' high space:
powerstrip $10
x-cord $10
White paint $3.00
Soil $10
planters (free used from nursery)
oscillating fan $10
An intake and exhaust fan, $13 each
Nutrients Peter's less than $10.00
I don't know how much cfl's go for in your area, but you'd need enough to provide 60,000 lumens.
Even better, a 400-watt HPS ($100 used, $250 new)

Highly recommended:
pH meter or combo ph/ppm meter
pH up & down

Wally world (Wal-mart) has compact florous cheap. They are compact and can plug into a regular fixture. Prices vary from area to area. The ones I got were 10 bucks. but GG stated in another post he could get them cheaper.

and like GG said def. at least a PH meter. That thing will save your *** during a problem.

Rule of thumb is a bit over 6,000 lumens per sq/ft; 3' x 3' is 9 sq/ft.

This can be done to a much larger area for the same price if you build it yourself, but some folks like the convenience.
