I'll show my work:

C = P + 3 -- (Carol is 3 years older than Pat)

==> P = C - 3

C + 2 = 2(P + 2) -- (Carol will be twice as old as Pat in Two Years)

==> C + 2 = 2((C - 3) +2)
C + 2 = 2(C-1)
C + 2 = 2C - 2
2C-C = 2 + 2
C = 4
P = C - 3 (From above) ==> P=4-3=1

So, Carol is 4 and Pat is 1 :woohoo:

That doesn't work because in 2 years, with those numbers, Carol will be 10 and Pat will be 7 and 10 is not 2 x 7....;)
