Im curious,
On a sunny normal day.
Anyone ever take a light meter and actually measure
the lumens of natural direct sunlight.

Word around the campfire is in full sun, it is around 10,000 Lumen per square foot and on an overcast day, it can be as low as 3,000 Lumen per square foot.

Yes, of course. The angle of the sun off the horizon will change these values for sure. If the sun is only 20* off the horizon, it is going to be traveling through much more atmosphere. This will change not only the lights intensity, but the spectrum as well.
