Dry or not dry?

Ok so I knew I would end up in this part of the forum some day lol:)
When making cannabutter using just the trim is it absolutely necessary to dry the leaves etc or can I just use it freshly cut from the plant?

If you dont use dried leaves you will get a serious taste of chlorophyl, like eating a mouth full of old lawn cuttings.
