question about customs

:48: :48: :48: :48: alright i have a question about ordering seeds off the internet. I have posted this in the seed bank thread but nobody will respond. I have never ordered seeds off the net but I am strongly considering it. I have heard stories of customs catching your package and sending it on it's way but empty. I know it is a role of a dice to get it through but say they do catch it....do they pursue you, will they send an undercover to catch some kid with 20 seeds? or will it just be another "package" and they just through it away? I need to know if i have to worry about picking the package up, will i walk into a sting? I really need some responses it will determine me ordering some fire or just using some bag seeds that I have accumilated over the past month or so....thanks

i believe it said something about not pursuing it any further, they just took your seeds have a nice day

Wouldn't do it in some countries. Depends where you are at.

In the US I assume. Never ship to your home address. I have gotten 7 packages from the UK with no issues whatsoever. Another safety precaution is to use a money order or a prepaid gift card that can not be linked to your name.... Just so you are safe in the rare event of a seed bank being taken down. Go for it man... Just take do it as safely as possible.

Have googled it but am unable to turn up any sample seizure letters. Would be interesting to see one.

I wouldn't worry about it all. If they had any interest in your activities they wouldn't send you a letter. As long as you don't receive, sign for or have seeds in your possession there is nothing they can do.

Besides if your a U.S. citizen and you don't have any warrants. Plead the 4th amendment. Don't worry about it. I couldn't find anything either Runbyhemp. I don't think it's that possible to get caught for seeds or convicted, don't most good seed banks try to cover your tracks anyway. I don't know, if your that worried about it find a friend with some good bag seed

Very interesting. Ive often wondered about this subject to but now I know. Im going to be ordering seeds soon. But what about a name on your package, do you use a fake name?

I grow medicinally in Oregon and am totally legal here except for the federal part. I used my real full name and a credit card when I bought from amsterdam. They sent it in a CD case, no problems at all. I really don't think the feds would waste their time following a bag of seeds to catch someone for the possible germination of MJ seeds. Just my opinion though.

just recently ordered seeds for the first time through nirvanna got the stealth package but no seeds...I look everywere in the package...the man must have removed them...but I didnt get the letter some people get when the seeds have been taken..its a shame that customs is stealing 10 seeds from my package when behind there backs theres a cargo ship bringing in pounds and pounds of drugs..I used a credit card..and I'm a little concerned about people watchig my house but what will be will be..its funny though a couple of days after I place the order an unmarked cars with official plates drove by my house real slow and I live in a very rural area...anyone have similar stories..would like to hear them..contacted nirvanna to get there feedback on the situation as of today still no response from them...I will let you know how it works out.

Unmarked cars driving past your house is a tell tale sign... Straight up, if you are doing something illegal, stop, or be paranoid and cautious as hell.

So what did happen? There's no follow-up! This kind of stuff is exactly why I am skeptical about ordering but I need to. The need is the sacrifice you know? I wish there was a safer route. Maybe I can find a friend close by or something. The bag seed I have is not even worth trying to grow or waste money on. If I had a big plot of fresh dirt that would be ideal for this kind.

I read a Q&A on "Ask Erowid" about this and the guy said that you might end up on a list somewhere if they do find the seeds. Anyways word gets around and the people at the post office are nosy obviously if they open up packages so they will know what was in it. They could tell people and the wrong people at that. I mean I just think of the worst case scenario to be extra cautious but seriously if they confiscate it then they will be suspicious. Unless it is not your address or a paper trail of money then it might be cool. Still it would suck to spend the money and get screwed by the people who are supposed to bring you the mail! That is so messed up! We trust them to deliver mail and then they go around and snoop inside of it! I mean I can understand if a bomb is ticking but just a harmless letter.......that's ridiculous.

That's another thing that has me paranoid!! It's not a nonchalant subject!! I don't understand why it is not a rule on any of these forums to discuss these methods and personally I think anyone who divulges the info should have their posts deleted. It is really careless and reckless to talk about it. You put all of us in jeopardy and yourselves. You also put the seed companies who helped you out in a hot spot!!! It's actually really starting to piss me off to be honest!!! ONE DAY WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET ANY FREAKING SEEDS IF YOU PEOPLE DO NOT SHUT UP!!

IMO all seeds is 50/50 its part of working to get more ratio of females.

Hey papabeach1, I thought about that for a while and maybe they use self pollinated hermaphrodites. Wouldn't that make the ratio for females higher? That maybe why so many people get hermies off their feminized crops.

True feminized seeds are created using gibberic acid. Gibberic acid, brushed on a female plant at a node will force it to create a male flower. Even though it is a male flower, the pollen genetics is still female, and can be used to pollenate a female bud on the same plant (creating basically "clone" seeds of the plant that are all female) or used to pollenate a different female, again resulting in all hybrid female seeds.

As someone mentioned, less reputable places use hermie pollen, which will create seeds with an elevated chance of creating seeds that will turn into hermies as well.

You don't think LEO could just order seeds from the various seedbanks to see how it is sent and received, and then learn from here how to look out for these?

lets see..... either the federal government or the d.e.a has nothing better to do than to monitor this forum or better yet chase down an average joe person who bought 10 maybe 15 marijuana seeds on the internet.......... and send an unmarked car to drive by and "spy" on you ???? ................ or your a paranoid pot smoker....... hmmmmm... i wouldnt worry about it.... with as bad as this world is we still have a sense of freedom !!!!
