My new crabitat that is. :giggle:

We now have a total of 8 hermit crabs, here's a few cool pics from the sandy end of the terrarium.

I love the one of the crab tossing sand everywhere. :p

(BIG pics, but very cool and worth your while. ;))

choking victim- my camera is a Canon Digital Rebel, a DSLR. It's 8 mega pixels I think. ;)

Hey Mom your crabitat looks great along with your crabs. Gotta love them creatures and how they live in them shells. They are almost like people. Get sick of their house move out and find another. :p

Cool ma!!. I was at the pet store sat. and seen they had handpainted hermit crab shells. Might wanna check it out. They had my football team logo on one. :)

Hey Mutt i thought i seen her one crab had a Big Bird shell for a home. I think it's in the critter thread. Cool ma!!. I was at the pet store sat. and seen they had handpainted hermit crab shells. Might wanna check it out. They had my football team logo on one. :)

Nice lookin crabs though. I have never had those as pets before but they do look pretty cool and I like the fact that you can buy them new homes....or even build them new homes for them to stay in.

Mutt- actually the painted shells aren't good for them. Supposedly they use nontoxic paint, but it's still unhealthy for the crabs. All the sand and digging causes the paint to chip and it can reek havoc with their little digestive systems if they try and eat it. I am pleased to report that Big Bird has changed into a beautiful natural shell. I need to get some pics of him now. ;)
