How do you clean your pipes or bongs? Share...

So, how does everyone clean their pipes or bongs. I know there has got to be like a million and one ways to do it, some are probably more effecient than others!

I clean my pipe by boiling a pot of salt water and letting the pipe rest in it. I take a pot of water, add about 1-3Tbsp of salt, depending on how gunky the pipe/bong is. Then let the water boil for a few minutes. After about 15 minutes the gunky becomes very-very soft and pliable. I take some bbq tongs with a heat resistant rubber ends and hold the pipe still while i use some 6" wooden q-tips (Like what they take throat samples with at the doc's office) and gently flake the gunk off inside the pipe or bong. After it is clean, i pull the pipe from the water and set it on a stack of paper towels to let it slowly cool. Then give it a final rinse with some regular tap water! Voila! Clean pipe/bong!

Be careful not to heat or cool any glass pipes too fast, they will bust on ya. That means, DON'T take it from boiling water and cool it with cold water, it will blow up on ya! The only downside to this technique is that it gets the whole damn house smellin like a troll's butt! The smell is a thick smell too, so even opening windows it will linger for a good hour or two!

That's funny cuz I use both alchohal and salt to clean all my pipes, bubblers, and bongs.....makes them look like new and eats every bit of resin out of it.

However, I have tried another method but it's not as good. Get a shallow microwavable bowl, place your pipe in it, fill with Simple Green until pipe is completely submerged then pop it in the micro for 7 minutes, cleans most of it out depending on how dirty your pipe is. But IMHO Alchohal and salt do the trick every time.

iso works for me....I clean my bong daily and road trip pipe once a week:hubba:

cant stand a dirty bong at all... and there's a reason that black chiz stays in a bong;) ;)

i scrape them out first, then usually boiling in water will get the rest of the muck out... but make sure it's thick glass, you don't want ur smoking buddy to break.

I dont clean my glass as much as I should.But I take ISO pour that into the bong and let that sit for about24 hrs.then dump out,rinse,and smoke.Crystal clean.Keep it GREEN:hubba:

isopropyl alchohol...just regular good old rubbing alcohol...and i use qtips when i clean my glass but thats because im OCD

well for me and my glass i dont use the ISO any more the taste is nasty instead of it i use dum du duh da flavored mouthwash (any dollar store brand)and follow just about the same method as anyone fill and let set over night then presto clean as a whistle then i rinse it out and its ready to go just pack it and fire it up baby :woohoo:

way better than purple power
actually has some abrasive sand type stuff in it to help clean those had to get to spots
