250W HID for five plants?

Simple question: I plan on growing five plants or less. Will a 250W HID be enough for this?

You need 50w per square ft. 250w will cover 5 square ft. If you can get five plants into five square ft it will def do the job;). I have a 7.5 square ft room and I can't get 5 big plants in there but 5 small or 1 cola plants would fit. Go with a 400w or do what I do. Get the 250w add a 100w and get about 100w of cfls and it will spread the light a lil better than just the 400w. My friend has just a 400w and his room isn't as near as bright as mine.
