LST and what is it...

I know what LST stands for... but WHAT exactly is it?

Can someone point me to a step by step on how to do it and WHY it works?

Thanks! I searched, but no where could I find a specific answer to my questions.

Low Stress Training. It is basically where you tie down the main stem when the plant is young causing it to grow more side shoots which will create a short bushier plant. When you tie it down I mean you want the stem to curve to it is horizontal. You do this gradually as to no break the stem. Topping the plant also helps in LST. Do a search for it on this forum, there are a lot of LST threads on here.
