"2 posts to play a game" thats what came out when tried to open the arcade. im not complaining but do we really need this restriction...

i normally see how every1's doing before i play games anyway, so ive already posted my 2, before i go to the arcade, so i didnt even know there was a restristion. ill check it out in the morning, see if it says the same for me.

Well, if it wasn't for that restriction, it prevents non-posters tha don;t do anything just hitting the arcade without a so much as a hello during the day. ;)

Helps sorta keeps it posting members only ;)

Now I'm having trouble. I've made 4 posts (this one makes 5) today and I still get the message:

"You have to do 2 posts in the forum per day to play a game."

Is any one else having this problem or is it just me?

I was playing games ealier (about 5 hours ago), but now it doesn't like me. :o

Hello everyone. Please remember that this is a Marijuana Growers Advice site.

It's not a Game Room.

The games are there for the members to enjoy AFTER they try to go in and answer a couple of easy posts or just post something real in the group. It's no big deal.

If you're here, it must be that you enjoy weed. Please, look around a little and find someone who needs a little help. A couple of quick, easy, helping posts is all we're asking.

If you click "New Posts", you'll find many, many posts that are looking for help or just chatting with others in the coffee table.

Please, no posts like "This is one" and "This is two". One of the Mods will have to take time to delete that crap and it doesn't put us in a good frame of mind to have to waste time doing that.

We're not asking much. Just that you all enjoy and participate in the topic that this group is here for in the first place.

Thanks everyone. Please, help us all out here *AND* enjoy the Arcade.

As much as I like the Arcade I checked out the bandwidth and it's almost doubled the useage then before, at this speed I'm going to have to pay a lot more for the hosting. So that's why I put up the 2 posts a day. In the hopes it decreases the bandwith

I can also change it to a max number of games to be played a day. whatever is best.

Another option is to put a bunch of adverisements that generate you some money into the Arcade area only.

Perhaps the ads would generate enough money to offset the extra costs.

This is simple folks. MarP has decided that members should have to post at least two posts each day if they want to enjoy the Arcade. That is because too many people are coming here to do nothing but play games and drive the bandwidth of the site up.

This is, and has been a site for those who grow and enjoy discussion about growing marijuana. It isn't just a place to come when you want to play games.

The few people who think it is OK to post crap like "Here's my first post" and "Here's my second post so now I can go play" are not going to be permitted to perform this type of abuse of the site.

I'll warn people who do this one time by PM.

The second time they do this, I'll see if MarP can ban them from the Arcade for a week.

Please, don't make any of us do this type of thing.

Just open the new posts and either help someone or ask a real question. You can even post something in the Coffee Table. To make silly posts like what I gave an example of above is doing nothing but abusing this site.

No more of that. It's insulting to MarP, the Moderators of the site and all the members who try to make this a good place to be.

I have no problem with the 2-post rule, nor do I have have a problem with more ads.:)

One thing I did notice: the Arcade starts a new day at 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time (Midnite GMT?). So, if I make my posts before 4:00 p.m., I have to make 2 more after 4 if I wish to play in the Arcade. But, if I make my posts after 4:00 p.m., I'm good until the next day at 4.

I am not complaining, just making an observation.;)

It's something for the members to enjoy between posting. It seems lots of people are just coming here to run into the games and do nothing else.

If someone can't or won't look around to either help or post a question or just something interesting in the coffee table, then perhaps they should just stay out of the game room as well.

It's supposed to be side entertainment, not primary entertainment for the members.

I'm trying to get MarP to put the advertising back on the site. It was a real help to him in supporting the site.

hey MarP i had an idea for the bandwith problem. wliminate the guests ability to play in the arcade and set a minimum number of posts for members before they can get into the action too. say 5 posts before you can use the arcade and 2 posts per day till it will open for the day. dunno jsut an idea like i said might just be the :bong: talking but it was a thought:)

There already is a requirement of 2 posts before members can play in the arcade. Guests can't post.

Only members can use the arcade now.
