Questions on Ballasts

If i were to get a 400w HPS bulb and 400w MH bulb what type of ballasts would i need ? how many watt?

Go with a Full specrtrum bulb it can be used for veg and flower and you only need one ballas.
The type of light and the wattage has to match the ballas.
So 400watt HPS you will need a 400w HPS ballas, 400watt MH you will need a 400watt MH ballas.
It's also cheaper goin with the Full Sperctrum.

or u could always op for a ballast that is capable of using both u'll have to adjust ur light sizes i think and maybe end up with 2 of each, but in the long run it should be cheaper.

.....nope Ktown, the "switchable" ballasts accept the same wattage bulbs. It's those "conversion" bulbs that vary in wattage.:hubba:
