I got a stronger light hoping that it would help my plant grow. THe 250 watt mh light burnt the leaves when i had it too close, should i cut them off if i have new green leaves coming in? Why are the tips of my plant leaves yellow its weird how on one tip it will be yellow and burnt only at the tip, why is this?

Is the yellowing from the light?.Just let the burnt bits be.

the yellowing is most likely from a tad bit of nute burn nothing to worry about unless its affecting your new growth and if it is a simple flush of your soil will help to correct it. what you do is keep watering your plant until the water that comes out in the drainage isn't yellow any more nothing but clear water and then let it dry back out till it needs watered again. and if your getting your light too close you can go by the simplest method to know if the lamp heat is too much, just put your hand palm down on the top of your plants and feel the heat from the light if its too hot for your hand its too hot for your plants.

how close to the tops you keep your light? burned some of my tops w/ keeping 400hps 2 close-even with the right temps you can get heat burn if you keep your light very close- sometimes looks like nut problem. heres an example of heat burn(425w hps at 2''or 3'' was overkill even w/temps at 72-82!).
