My babies keep dying on me and i cannot work out what it is, too many factors are coming into play but heres the story if you have time.
As some of you may know because i have posted about it here before, I 'used to' have a 600 watt mh/hps ballast and bulbs in my grow room (an airing cupboard) approximately around 3-4 feet wide 3 feet deep and about 10 feet tall (i cant remember exact scales) but the room got way tooo hot, as soon as it hit 85 degrees F i opened up the door and it cooled down to around 75-78 with 2 osc fans constantly running.
But in the long term this wouldnt do as when they start to flower i will have light leaks cos the door is open to keep it cool.
So i went out and bought myself some fluro lights 2 x 3 feet and 2 x 4 feet, i moved the plants (2 had already died by that time which i thought was the heat) and fitted out the wiring + light fixings, now with them fluro's and with the air flow i have going constantly plus the 2 fans inside the room is hitting around 82 deg F max (is this too hot ?).
Today another of my babies died after fitting out the new fluro's :( so 3 out of 5 are dead but the thing that intrueges me is the 3 that have died where big bud seeds and the 2 that are alive and doing VERY well are jock horror both types bought from 2 different stores i would have thought it was the other way around and i would have put it down to stress with the babies dying from moving the pots, changing light types potting the cubes in soil etc but i dont think this is the case, why are the harder to grow plants thriving in the stres they are going through and 'ALL' the big bud plants have died ? :(
Any input to help me resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated as i think i am doing something drastically wrong.
edit* sorry forgot to mention a couple of things the plants are around 1 week old after germinating and germinated very well which took around 3-4 days in total b4 they shot out of the rockwool cubes with temps around 72-82F (i used a heater with a thermo for this as i have read many times its best to germinate in dark areas)
