Hellllo,
My question is how does one know when u have a nutrient lockup? Is it EXTREMLY noticable? After answering that i would like to know what you think about "Botanicares Clearex" Even though my garden is doing very well i read on the back of the label we should apply Clearex once a mth. What do you reccomeend "HICK" one does to avoid nutrient lockup and hoew often do you experience this problem? When i feed in full force i'm still only at 900 ppm. I don't go over that.

Nute lock is usually due to the ph being way outta' whack. IMHO.. about anywhere between 6.0-7.0 is okay, usually.
I always add lime to my mix, and have never had a ph problem.
"I" have never used anything but ph adjusted water to flush my soil, dunno about "Clearex".
I would guess, being it says it should be used monthly, that it would be for flushing built up salts outta' your medium.
I usually TP to bigger pots and fresh soil, too often to have that problem.
Even my "Mothers/Donors" get their old dirt washed off and fresh applied periodically.

if someone got nute lock-up, do their plants stay looking healthy and not grow? any marks or anything to detect it at first glance?

If you have nute lockout your plant will show signs of nutrient disorders. The signs will depend on what nutes are locked out. The ph level will affect which nutes are locked out. Different nutes are available at different ph levels. Most growers will let their ph fluctuate some but within limits.

I can tell when mine LOCKUP, because they dont drink and get kinda limp. The soil remains saturated for a long time. Its like they just quit drinking until they are happy again.
