lower yellow leaves?

ive seen acouple threads about this but was just curious for my own sake.. was checking out plant today noticed very very bottom leaves are twisting and yellow and like 2 nodes up acouple of big fan leaves are dieing off the upper part of the plant looks ok , with acouple light green spots on leaves here and there. is this normal? also i noticed alot of the leaves with spots or yellowing have red branches almost like somone splattered spray paint on the branches sorta... i belive this is a strain trait but just curious if anyone had any info out there thanks... Sounds like N(nitrogen) levels are abit low.Have you started bloom nutes?

A shot of veg nutes should fix that up.The red on stems is due to low temps,just like the purple :cool:

thanks man but def not low temps , box is always above 80.. and mostly in the mid 80's even when the lights are turned off it barely ever goes below 75.. actually having problems regulating the heat some times

Heres somthing i found online about the redness..

"Marijuana plants are almost always green, the upper surface of the leaves a dark, luxuriant green, and the undersurface a lighter, paler green. Some varieties develop reds and purples along stems and leaf petioles. Occasionally, even the leaves turn red/purple during the last stages of growth (plate 6). Grasses termed "Red" more often get their color from the stigmas of the female flowers, which can turn from white to a rust or red color, giving the marijuana buds a distinct reddish tinge"

Honestly think your right about the N def, i havnt given it any nutes since like week 3 of veg.. all i have is some MG , 24-8-16 crap nutes... think all head down tomorrow and pick up a small bag of some nutes , i was thinking somthing with 10-10-10? or even 5-20-10? dunno what you think

The MG ratio sounds good,but ive heard nothing but crap about the MG range.

Was it causing any problems when you where using it back in week 3?

The other nutes are more for flowering.

oh my god they went YELLOW!!!!.
that means you have a rare evil plant...! you must kill it instantly, and pour vinigar and gas all over it....then burn it.
it shouldnt be a problem after you do that.....if yellow comes back after the burn...you might need to take more derastic mesasures.

they also kill some of there leaves in flower as means to produce more bud but thats usually at the end of flower
