should be more than enough. ive seen people grow 4 foot plants out of 12oz plastic beer cups. if it were me id just make sure the roots are not bunching up to tight.

In AUS we dont use Inches, and i never was good at maths so im not sure of the pots exact height.
A way to keep the roots from growing to much, its to keep the soil damp.

A rule of thumb that is used by lots of growers is one gallon of dirt for every foot of height you intend to grow the plant. That will give it room for proper root growth and the least amount of watering.

It's really not a matter of if it would work or not. You can grow a plant in a test tube if you want to add water to it about 50 times a day.
For those who have the time to "babysit" a plant and add water many times a day, little tiny containers will work just fine.
For those who work full time and have a busy life, watering a plant every two or three days is great, but takes a larger container.
What we try to teach people here is the best way to grow with as little work as possible. "Unique" grows in tiny containers are interesting, but not very user friendly.
The "One gallon per/ft of height" rule is a very good guideline to use when growing pot.
