Thinking of starting some seeds in anticipation of April outdoor planting. Looking at the garden it seems to be a bit cold for them right now. Am posting a weather in my area pic here, add yours if you like. These last two storms crossing the US really kicked some ***. I havent seen this much snow where i am in freaking years!:holysheep:

Yeah - yeah,
Cold ? What do you know about cold ? try 80*degrees below 0* and then fall through the ice, I stood in front of my fireplace and shed a few tears it hurt so bad. That was when my body decided to wake up all the little nerve endings that were froze from being in the water.
Seeds just say some rank things to ya when they see that kinda cold, LOL
I miss where I grew up in southern Calif. but it isn't like it was 50 yrs ago, I think back on the hot days at the beach smack in the middle of summer,
sigh:rolleyes:

is melting at a balmy high of 45 today, the snow man fell over. And as for coldest for me....in Alaska in the seventies, maybe fourty below with the wind chill factor, went outside, came inside, took forever to warm up. I am considering starting seeds soon and put them under CFL's, to get a good start on vedging before they go out in april. Is this a good idea to have a twelve week plant to put out when the frosts are over?

Unusually warm here, high 60's all week, everyone is confused round here. We usually get snow here and there and so far all we have gotten is rain...it's weird. I can't remember the last time we had weather like this in January...in fact some of my neighbors flowers are blooming right now...LOL.

TCBud, If that's all the snow you have I'll trade with you. Got about 5 feet on the ground here(about 1.5 metres) and cold enough to freeze the nuts off an iron bridge.

Another beautiful day here. Blue sky, not a single cloud. Hardly any wind, and about 60 degrees. :)
Wouldn't trade it for the world. :p

Well it was 70 and sunny here a few days ago and the guys to rip out the trees had a great day to do the job and took out 4 100+ ft tall trees that were just in bad shape. No sooner than i could get all of that wood moved around and stacked up (still not done) this happens. A freaking blizzard In March 14 inches of snow in a day and another 6-10 for today.
