3 weeks in veg. 18/6 under 2- 250w MH lamps
i just started nutes last night 1/8 strength GH 3 part. its all bagseed so im seeing different strains reacting differently. im hoping the discoloration means its dinner time. anyone have an opinion?

What is your flood/drain cycle like?
How do you refill the reservoir? (with full nutes? water every 2nd time?)
Have you been using 1/8 strength regularly?

I would up the dosage a little to see if they respond.. those plants look relatively small for 3 weeks of growth.

Although.. the middle one looks like it was nutrient burned.. maybe wait for some more opinions. :confused2:

My seedlings (not bagseed, mind you) have been able to handle 1/4 of my nutrients' recommended dosage (it's about 300ppm) from the get-go, perhaps you have been depriving them for a while?

i have been depriving them altogether until last night. they have had straight ph'd distilled water only. i added light nutes last night and my ppm is now at 227. im just really scared to burn them after my last debacle.
i dont think that middle one could have been nute burned since its only had one feeding of light nutes but what do i know? do they react that quickly???
thanks for the help
edit, im flooding 6 times a day 1/2 hour each time

I'm a little confused..(and a little high :bong1:;)).. do you mean the reservoir was 1/8 strength at the first week, and was topped off with ph'd distilled water for 3 weeks (until last night)? If so, I'd assume that they were certainly deprived.

Here is a good explanation on 'how to maintain your hydroponic nutrient solution (http://www.drugs-forum.com/growfaq/314.htm)'.

I agree with Shuggy, now that I checked the nutrient troubleshooter (http://www.marijuana-seeds.net/Thanks/ThankYou.htm). Muh bad! :ignore:

no, i mean these plants (3 weeks old) have had nothing but plain distilled water from day 1. just last night i added 1/8 strength nutes in the form of GH micro and GH grow. my ppm is currently at 227. so they have been deprived right? ill slowly up it until i see some progress. thanks for that link too. that helps me understand it

Do you have any idea on how to do hydro? Seems like you have alot to learn. 3 weeks without food is a long time in hydro. That is why they are so small. I am surprised they never died. I am no pro on hydro, but I did one grow, and worked out very well. How many plants do you have in there? You have almost as much lighting in there as my flowering room with 6 plants. Try posting in the hydro forum to get some better responses.

Holy chill! Just trying to give a little advice. Don't post if you don't want to here some helpful criticism. Do you have a bigger room for flowering? It will get tight in a 4x2 foot room for 22 plants.

That's probably 'too much' right now, but I'm sure your plants aren't complaining about it, and will fill in the space as they grow.

Does anyone know of the 'generally recommended lumen range' for vegetation? (it's known that '3000-5000 lumens per square foot' are required for flowering)

Young, established seedlings or rooted cuttings are started at 500-600ppm. The TDS is increased to 800-900ppm during peak vegetative growth. During the transition from early to heavy flowering, TDS is further raised to 1000-1100ppm (http://www.drugs-forum.com/growfaq/73.htm)

That's also from the overgrow FAQ, which is found through the 'resources (http://www.marijuanapassion.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9396)' link at the top of this webpage (in same bar as User CP). Practically everything you need to know is in there, it's just a matter of finding it .

Hope they improve! Keep us updated :)

you just come off like a douche valve. i have a 7x10 flowering room with a 1k watt HPS. i have too many plants but if i end up with 10 or 12 males i should be fine for room. thanks for your constructive criticism
