seed storage

i just got 10 ak-47 from the doc ... i know theyve been subjected to all ranges of temps but is there a proper way to store these until im ready to germ them? or should i just stick them in a drawer and forget about them till its time? thanks

Great question, can't wait to see the replies. I store mine in the black film cases everyone used before digital. You can usually get them free if you ask nicely from anywhere that develops film. These work great for pollen to.

Hey this is a Great Question,
I have had beans that lasted several years, but as time goes by you do start to lose them.
Like Mr. Bubbles says the OL' Black film containers are perfect. Place a grain or two of rice in with them if you plan your storage to be of short duration. Place the small container where it is cold, but will not freeze.
The camera shops will give you a couple of these small containers without thinking twice. If they ask about it don't try to talk your way through it, just say that your friend likes photography, and you want to slip a surprise into one of them. Keep it simple, and save those containers they really are just perfect for all kinds of stuff.

perfect. my wife is a digital and film photographer as a hobby so i have those everywhere. ill pop them in the fridge in one of those containers. i imagine ill germ them within 2 weeks as my current grow is starting to take off

a dark cool, dry place is best for storage.

Hey KING good call.I do the same exact thing.But I put about half full with rice and mix in the seeds.Always label inside the cap or somewhere what strain,and the date of the seeds.Put it in the fridge.Keep it GREEN:hubba:
