Is it possible to take small plants in a 2" net pot that have 6 to 8" root systems and put them into a 4" net pot without doing them harm? Do you just put the roots on top of a bottom layer of hydroton and fill in around the roots? Will the roots find their way to the bottom of the 4" cup?

you will stunt the growth some but they will like the extra room. they will find there way down just be gentle.lay the roots on a lower layer of hydroton and fill some in being gentle. superthrive helps when transplanting and a low dose of nutes wont hurt.

be easy and goodluck!

It will be fine. Its just like transplanting to a larger pot. Be careful with the roots and they will be fine
