NOUN:
<LI type=a>A substance used in the diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of a disease or as a component of a medication.
Such a substance as recognized or defined by the U.S. Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
A chemical substance, such as a narcotic or hallucinogen, that affects the central nervous system, causing changes in behavior and often addiction.
Obsolete A chemical or dye.~
Well MJ is a drug by the legal sense, becuase Food n Drug deemed it so...
but its not refined, distilled, or processed like "drugs" as we know them....I think the right term would be "herbal treatment" or "herbal remedy" I think the term drug is not accurate to describe MJ. Now if THC was extracted in its pure form...then turned into a pill or elixer by man-made process (aka honey/hash oil using a chemical such as alcohol, or butane) Would be closer to what "drug" would classify to me.
Just thought I'd throw that out there.
