I said * because i couldn't think of a word that i might get 'told off for'. Anyway, does anyone else have those days when you think your doing everything ok and you feel good about stuff then only to get moaned at by someone close to you?
I suffer from depression and am on medication for it and have been for over 2 years, so when i'm having a good day and feeling good about what i've done or just generally in a good mood it puts me down so much when this happens. It feels like everyone is having a go at me and just takes me back to those dark feelings and images i've worked constantly hard to not fall into. And it makes me feel like this for days, sometimes weeks.
I really wish everyone would be more considerate sometimes, including family members. So anyone else having an awful day?

Not me...but I've had them. Keep the chin up and put one foot in front of the other and tell everyone to *...lol. Don't worry about them, worry about yourself...cheer up and try and get back to the happy place, or just tell the person it hurt you...for real be honest it feels good. I do it all the time, cause you have to worry about you and not someone else:D

I'm sorry about your crappy day. I've dealt with depression in the past and I know how terrible it can be.
Hang in there.

:yeahthat: Something that used to happen to me too Bro. I got away from it, when I learned to say, "NO" I'm not going down the dark path today. I would seek out friends that made me laugh, or I would do something that would make me feel excellant about myself.
Tough it out Bro, smoke a hoober for the adjustment, and then find some laughter.
Ever notice how I say to new folks here that they should keep an eye out for POTUS ? I tell them that we want to roll and smoke him, LOL It's fun to tease with love in it. you just got to make certain that everyone see's that your just funnin with your target. Besides I know that POTUS is cool with it.
Your cool to me dude, and I've always appreciated it. If someone can't handle your sunshine, then you need to tell them to go darken the day somewhere else.
Here there be SUNSHINE BRO.

Man thats rough when someone you care about wants to rain on your parade and crap. I have had that happen many times and found it seems to be more a coincidence that they are having a crap day and just dumped it on me when i was having a good one. Gotta shake it off, blast a bong (or 5 :giggle:), and remember where you parked your cloud and give them a lift, so they dont have to take the bus. Then everyone can get one the happy side again :48:

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments. Trouble is I can't jus dump em when its family. It makes me jus wanna run away from everyone and not look back. Me and my boyfriend (i'm a lady for those thinking 'is he queer?' lol) have only just moved and i only really have one friend where i am other than him, then theres all my family. Also i'm not too well off at the mo, nor is my fella, so we aren't able to spend much on weed. Only had a 1/4 oz and we made that last nearly 2 weeks.
I like to get out and about, walk the dog, go cycling, or walking through forests, but its not always you can do those things round here neither. Its nice to talk to people on here who don't know everything about me etc. As for POTUS, i not really spoke to him much apart from in the thread about swearing where he really dampened on my post :S

hey thorn,
imma tell you something that has gotten me through ALOT and i mean ALOT of depression.
ok here goes.... when you are up and feeling good....ppl around you notice and when they are miserable with there life whatever may be going on in it they will do anything they can to see YOU suffer to make them feel better about there crappy life.
when someone talks crap its because there just JELOUS. so understand its human nature to try and poke fun at ppl on top of the mountian. if you get poked and distracted on what really matters THEY win. so- keep your eye on the prize!
why do you think soap operas, cops and shows like jerry springer do so well? because we as humans are so adament on seeing other ppls grief- it makes US feel better about our situation. so!
dont ever ever EVER care about what other ppl think of you because thats BESIDE THE POINT!!!
what matters is what you feel so dont let ANYONE take that joy from you. just understand that there just trying to chip away at you to make themselves feel better
ppl are selfish and they will do whatever they feel necessary to make THEM feel on top of you.
my advice- take it all with a grian of salt....because it doesnt matter what they feel or think if there trying to get you down-
they will do anything to rain on your parade.
by having a "bad day" now .... your just letting them win.
DONT DO IT. keep your head high knowing your a better person and THATS IT!.
smile bro, at least you get to enjoy another sunset and hopefully another sunrise. just be thankful to be alive and in good spirits.
peace and love always- TOA

It feels like everyone is having a go at me and just takes me back to those dark feelings and images I've worked constantly hard to not fall into.
One technique I've found helpful with depression, is thought deletion (yes, I just invented it's name :p). Every time you catch yourself thinking a negative thought, think of the word "delete", and immediately think about something else. Getting yourself to consciously (and consistently!) 'try to stop that thought', can make all the difference. Or atleast it did for me.
Another.. possibly strange technique.. is to force a facial expression. Think of a really great moment in your life, and try to genuinely smile, long enough to change your mood. Feeling bad can make us frown, but it works the other way too, smiling can make us feel happy. :D
Oh, and try to sing! There's something incredibly special about using our voices, and I really think using the different ranges of our voice (as opposed to the low-monotone voice, bummed-out-folks usually have) can release pent-up emotions, and help improve mood.
I'm rootin' for ya :)

Yeah I have to agree,
There seems to be someone around that will pee in your cheerios all the time, BUT you don't have to lap it up. You must change your own head, take charge of your mood so to speak.
Find laughter, like make a bet with your dog. Bet him a can of alpo that you can out stare him or her. You ever try to out stare a dog ?, some don't play that stuff. LOL
My cat would just do something hysterical like falling off the back of the couch, and if I laughed at him, he would get all mad at me for his goof. go figuere. Then it might end up a foot race to keep him from peeing in my shoe.
Never think that an animal can't laugh at you, if I do something monumentally stupid, my critters keep a straight face, but I can hear them roaring with laughter on the inside. and I can see you smiling right now as you read this.
Burn a hoober, then come back and read this again.

like i said king, i can't cos i don't have any weed.
Yea pets always cheer me up, yesterday one of my rats made me laugh properly for the first time in days when she was out and went behind a pint glass and when she sniffed at it it magnified her face. it was so funny just seeing this massive rat nose. they are so funny :)
thanks king bud, i did that a bit when i just couldnt stop having neg thoughts about everything. Also i cut my own hair yesterday (which is really long) to save some money and as a sort of cutting away bad things type of thing if that makes sense.
Anyway thanx for all the kind words :)

People who moan at others are the people with the real problem, life is a path we walk with many curves, if you let the thorn bush catch your clothing while your turning a corner, you will soon be ripped to shreds, if you take a step sideways and not touch the thorn bush, your walking pain free, I guess im saying the thorn bush is people willing to drag you down with thier moans, so smile and take a step out the way, you do not have to carry their moans if you choose not to, but then again...... A wise man once said to me.... smile and be happy, thing could be worse.... so I smiled and was happy.... and behold.... things did get much worse lol
