So cut a bud off my plant, for a little tester, and seen some bananas. Really hard to notice like Hick said, they were coming out of the calyx's, that even had hairs coming out of it. I knew this was a hermie beforehand. So my question is, can she/he do more damage to my crop at this point? Should I chop now? I was planning to cut her down in 4-7 days. Trichs are mostly cloudy, with some clear and an odd amber one. I was waiting for 50/50 cloudy and amber. And she still looks like she is putting on some weight. What to do?

if she has already shot off pollen from sacs id say she already did some damage to your room but yea she could let off tons of more pollen if you leave him/her there i would move her to another a room under like a small 150 watt hps or something atleast get some seeded bud from him/her good luck bro

Thanks 775,but moving her to another room is not an option. It's either cut now, and loose some good weight, or maybe the damage is already done, and leave her for another few days and pack on some weight.

if i were you id just cut it right now not worth the risk she may have already done some damage but if you leave her to gain weight she could do so much more damage to your whole crop

She already has done damage to the crop. I have some plants I put in later, and I don't believe they got seeded. So I don't want them to get seeded. Does my hermie still has the potential to pollinate the longer she goes.

yes she can keep pollinating till she collapses and dies so just get rid of him he is trouble

If your other females have weeks left that is still more time to develope seeds, like I said this happend to me and I got rid of it asap, and sprayed the other plants heavily with water, and turned off ventilation as I moved it out of the room. Im going to be harvesting this weekend and have only spotted a handful of seeds even though the hermi dropped a couple pollen sacs, I would say chop it now unless your ladies are finishing soon

ok if yer fixing to chop in a ouple days then there isnt much damage done. theres no way a seed can develop hat fast unless you leave other plants for weeks that are in the same room where she busted a nut.
if you mist water on the sacks and keep flowering the damage will me minimum. but if you leave the other plants in for a while theres a chance the pollen from the hermi pollinated the other fems and thats no good. if you chop the other a couple weeks later and theres a few seeds discard them because you know there no good.
id say mist well every day, pick off male banannas and continue.

Thanks for the replies peoples. I cut the piece of sh!t down this morning. Poor yield, I will be lucky if I get 1 1/2 oz's off her. Not impressed! If the smoke lives up to her name, as I think it came in 8th in High Times, it will be worth it but I highly doubt it. So far thumbs down to Jillybean for not having good genetics. And just in case you are wondering, this is not an isolated incident with the JB's. I have read smoke reports on this strain, and a couple of other fellow growers have had the same results. For $90 for 10 seeds, not worth it imo. CH
