New Grow NEED HELP !!!

started 12 bagseeds...all but 4 have popped through. I'm wanting to grow a couple of females,ScrOG style, with topping and training. My set up is 2, 150 watt CFL's with desk fan blowing down on plants. Plan to add 2nd fan on Tuesday. Temp varies from 75 to 90 with lid cracked. Need some feedback on how to weed out males early and make the most out of my set up.

i think your setup will get really hot with two 150 watt cfl in a tub

lol I know that is what I thought but I'm hoping to get a computer fan put in there I keep it at 75-90 with lid cracked if i put a cup of ice in there it gos to 77 so I think if I open it up get more air out and in it will do much better heat wise so you think i could get a few girls in there

Having one plant per pot, makes it real easy to weed out the males when they show. Keep an eye on the top growing tip, as this is where sex shows first.

I'm not sure the size of your tub, but you're going to want to tie them down from the beginning, and develop some sort of 'shape' for the plant, that will fit under your lights, and inside the tub. Plants also grow in flowering, so think ahead and leave extra room for that.

id tie them down quick maybe fifth or sixth node i think it is going to be kinda difficult to keep them that low especially when flowering hits but i suppose you could make it work

have you seen what some people have done to their closets? you could have it air filtered and whatnot.

I cant really have in in the open like that just want to have 1 or 2 females in the tube to grow that is real low key keep them really short

Hello Hydro...may i sugest two rubbermaid containers?..I read it in DIY but never seen one completed..Flip one on top of other 3 150 watt cfl..2 computer fans in/out air....mylar inside of rubbermaid contain...I may build one my self 4fun

I've grown in a rubber maid tub before, so it's not impossible. It's a pain in the arse to mount the lights, and computer fans, especially if you don't want to drill any holes, to keep the tub looking normal.

I'm not sure if it's better to top or not, I've never really played with that, but you're definitely going to have to tie the ladies down. Maybe start by tying the plant down, shaping it around the contour of your pot, as it grows. The key to LST is to be gentle, and go slow (develop the shape slowly, AS it grows).

I have never flowered in a tub, but it's possible, just have to have enough grow room. How big is your tub anyways?

I can forsee you having problems with smell.. Unless you have some type of air-cleaning device, or home-made carbon filter, your tub is going to stink up your place (and your clothes, if it's in the closet), when it's put into flowering. It may not be as obvious to you though, because you'll be living with the stinky thing, and your nostrils will 'ignore' the smell after a while.

What kind of people go through your closet, when they're over, anyways? ;)

IMO you can prolly do up to 4-6 max in there at a time. this is all in one gallon potters one plant per pot. go with the LST once the plant is sturdy enough to train about 3 weeks in should do. There is a good thread on how to stack a couple of these type containers in the DIY part of the forum as 4u2smoke had said, i cant seem to find one of them now so im on the mission to find it.

my temps is still geting kida high with lid cracked 88 deg I need to weed out all males *** soon as I can so i can start training my females do you think i should scrog too and top. I just got to keep it as small as i can because i dont feel that safe here I mean I would love to have it all out in my closet but I kow I can just shut the lid and cover it up if I had too cant if there all out my brother used these odor cans when he grew soma A+ and if was on there side of living room wall and he had 15 could not smell anything pretty good cans so that will help I know

o i will there all out got there 2 leaves pointing staight up doing great nice and green perky lol we are getting a can here in next day or to to take lot better pics need your guys help on this one keep you guys posted as much as i can try to give a pic a day on how there doing

OK i took some out down to 9 doing great already getting next leafs just letting the grow nothing big waing on cam keep u guys posted i got temp to 75 80 so its not bad humidity at 35 40 looking great will nice and strong no streaching

I forsee heat, size, and smell as the biggest problems here. Need to get outta that tub, it seems too hard to grow 2 or 3 plants in there at once especially if you wanna keep it looking natural. May I suggest a carbon scrubber right behind a 120mm computer fan. And try buying a small little handfan at Wally World to keep the airflow in te box moving. It's what I do and those things work perfectly, no strong winds to hurt babies, but plenty of circulation if put in the right spot.

ok i got one seedling that its first 2 round leave our turnning yellow did not know if it was normale or its was my ph or it was the heat leaves look reat just the cotolydes look yellow

ok I took the desk top fan and cut a hole for it in the side really good air now got it down to a even 75.6 good air flow there looking great all but the one with little yellow on round leaves but still nice and green think it was a heat problem
