OK - that is the general idea. See all them smashed up leaves in the water? They don't do any good in there. Cut those leaves off that are in the water - you only want the stems in there.

But leave the leaves on that are not in the water.

Ideally you want no light hitting the bottom of the stems....and when a root sprouts you really dont want light hitting it.

You need a light proof container for your cuttings imho.

A bubble stone might make things go faster.....thats what i use

Im just saying; that your using a clear cup right now....and no cover on the top.....you want to block light from hitting the water/stems in the cup...

you can clone in plain water, just like that in a clear glass. change the water everyday and if you can next time you do it, leave more leaves on the plant. just make sure no leaf matter is underwater, the more leaves the more energy they will have to make roots.

Sorry Ekoostik...I have been having trouble with cloneing..and there seems to be lots of Diffrent ways people are cloneing..i am just doing some Tests outside my GJ..Also have one going that GrowDude sugested..So Far i am likeing Rockwool under a Humidity Dome root ball in 12 days..

Ekoostic - he was doing a rooting experiment I suggested. I know it's "not the approved methed prescribed by the general consensus here", but it is a way that I get roots 100% of the time in all my cloning. That's the deal dude.

Sometime the most simple or rudementary way is the best way to learn, IMO.
