Is it better to trim the lower leaves at early Vegetative or is is best to leave the leaves alone?

I cut all fan leaves that are covering bud sites. So i agree with the above most of the time ...

Wait, how early in veg are you talking about? The only time you should really do anything in early veg is if you're topping, the plant needs those leaves to help produce more energy to grow bigger.

I would leave them be... until late flower if they cover bud sites then take a few.... IMHO The plants eat by way of those fan leaves, they store the food. Even when it's late I know some folks just cut half the leaf off so that they still can get some food. :D

I'm not a fan of the half-leaf procedure. Cutting half the leaf off seems pointless to me. Any food that the leaf stores will be used to fix the leaf after it has been cut instead of providing energy for the plant itself to focus on flowering ...
