hi all
friend has just told me he is having a go at aquaponics, says all he needs is:
4 x 10 litre pots
50 litres of clay pebbles
600 watt hps
fish tank and pump
and nutes
this is being done in a square metre cupboard and he has been told the plants finish in 5 and half weeks.
if this is correct i've gotta have a go.
any advice about this will be gladly recieved.
PEACE

I know of no strains that finish in 5 1/2 weeks.

39 days does seem a little bit short but the friend who is guiding him is very experienced on a bigger scale, that is why i'm giving it serius consideration.
pot of gold, ak-47 are the strains he mentioned.
do these methods speed up the finishing of plants at all?

No, there is nothing that will.

If it's a square metre cupboard, is there any chance hes vegging them for a SMALL time so theyr compact plants? That might be the reason he's only doing them for 5 1/2 weeks.

Most strains take 8 weeks to flower, even if you flowered clones it going to take 8 weeks.
Ive seen early strain like early girl but it says 6-8 weeks flowering.
I really think you got some bunk info.

Unless someone has engineered a new strain that is totally unknown to the world, your friend got some bad advice. As said in a prior post in this thread, NO strain finishes in that little time.
Someone may have finished the crop in 5.5 weeks, but I can assure you that the plants were not finished growing buds and thc. 5.5 week plants would be like smoking weed from the 1950's. It would get you high if you smoke a hooter that looks like a Cuban cigar.
My hydro 8 week Aurora Indica will do the same thing with only a pinch of weed.
Patience is the first key to growing world class weed. Time is the second key. It takes both to have a truly successful crop of weed.
