Big Hi to everyone reading this!

OK, I m growing NFT (hydroponic nutrient film technique) 8 plants in my cupboard.
Naturally some plants are taller than others due to sex or variety.
I am in the 7th week from seed and all seems well, ie plants growing
well, good color (apart from the odd rusting leaf here and there)...but
i made the mistake of using 12/12 light cycle from the start and although
plants are from 70cm to 50cm tall, I think they should be taller (?).

My question is, shall I leave the lights on for 24hrs? if yes, for how many
more weeks before forcing them to flower? Shall I prune the taller ones?
if yes how? At what height should I force them to flower (i use Vitalink
Grow nutrients for vegetative and later on Bloom for flowering)

err thats it...many thanks

Negative. When you drastically change the light cycle you could chance a hermaphrodite movement. That would be bad. At least thats what happened to me. More than once.

I would suggest letting them do their thing, they will grow more in flower. You
could try to raise your light if possible. May stretch em out a bit.

Also you should refer questions like this to either the "Hydro" section OR "Sick Plants & Problems"

Hope this helps

Do not prune them, at all/ This will only stunt their growth more. You could also add some brow sugar to the water (Pref Molasses) About 1/2 tbsp per gal is good. This may also help give them a sugar boost.
