the biggest plant is 19 days old.
it grew a 3 1/2 inch stem so i took the starter cube it was in and planted it in the bottom of this pot and then filled the pot with hydroton.
seems to be doing fine.although im worried about the light green color its taken on in the past 5 days.i had the light 4 or 5 '' from the plant, thought i was burning it may be so i moved it back to 12'' away from the plant.the smaller plant seems to be growing faster than the other.im using a rockwool cube for that grow.no nute for either so far.
this is my first grow so any help is great.
thanks in advance sorry my camera *****

That is one very long stem. You need to move the light much much closer to the plant. You also should get a fan blowing on the plant to strengthen the stem a little bit. You may end up having to tie that plant to a stake when you turn the fan on. Be careful it doesn't get blown over and break.
What hydro system are you using? The light green color may mean that it's time to give it some nutes. I don't know much about hydro so hopefully someone else helps you more than I can. Good luck and keep us posted on the baby. Be safe.
if its day 19.
i think u prolly have a sativa strain of some kind.
which mean the seedling stage takes a little bit longer,
before it starts really going.

Looks small for 19 days. What size/type light are you using?

being my first grow,i left this plant under the cheap two bulb fixture(check pics) for 9 days.this i believe could of slowed down growth, and be the cause of the long stem. After figuring out that that light was only to be used for a day or so on clones and new sprouts,i switched.i am now using two fluorescent grow bulbs
with 5500 lumens a piece(check pics).they are both blue spectrum.the plant has been under these lights for 10 days going on 11.
its shown signs of growth but seems slow to me.
i feel like in a couple of days the other plant will have caught up with this one.the seed is from a nirvana mix so im not sure what plant type i have.
my new plant is a seed boutique freebie haze or skunk1
im using a drip system.
thanks and peace

Smokybear hit the nail on the head. A 19 day old seedling that is yellowing and growing slow is saying, "Give me some nutes!" Plants are very sensitive at this stage so don't overdo it with nutes. Start slow 50-100 ppm, each day that the plant does not show burn, bump it up 50ppm or so. When the tips start to show burn drop down to the last ppm level that didn't cause burn. Of course, this is all assuming that you have an EC/TDS meter, if you don't, I highly suggest investing in one as they are probably THE most important tool a hydro grower has in his tool box. I am in the exact stage you are in in my current grow so I have been reading alot about this subject, and it seems that this is what most of the growers have been doing and having good results. I would hope that some more experienced growers would chime in before you act, but good luck to you!!

I'm in the exact same boat as you. I am new to hydro, and I am trying to figure out how much and when to start nutes. One thing that I have learned is that everyone has their own specific nute schedules. I am about 90% sure that no one is going to come on here and say feed x amount of nutes and it will work everytime...truth is there is no set feeding schedule for every strain, plant, etc. SO, since we are new at this, we have to find our own schedule and then after several grows, we will have an idea about when and what amount to start nutes at. That said, what I reccomend and what I personally started doing today on my grow, is to start slow and work your way up until the plant tells you, "Okay I've had enough nutes." You'll know you've added too many nutes when the lower leaf tips start to turn yellow and burn. What I am doing now and what I reccomend you do, is add a SMALL amount of that flora gro (probably about 3 ml) to a gallon of distilled water (boiled tap water or tap water left out over night if you don't want to buy DISTILLED water). That should put your ppm around 70 ppm (check it with your eco stick). Feed your plants that, if they react well (no burn, immediate yellowing), two days later feed them 100 ppm, if they react well two days later feed them 150 ppm. Do that until the leaf tips just slightly start to burn and yellow (plant telling you too much nutes)....then drop down 100ppm from the level that burnt them and sit there for a week or so...check out this ppm calculator at general hydro's website...this will give you an idea about how much of that flora gro to add to give the approximate ppm....BUT be sure to check with your meter. One last thing, if you use tap water to water your plants be sure to check the ppm of it and then add nutes until it reads 50 more ppm. For example, if your tap water reads 200 ppm then add flora gro til it say 250 THEN feed.
Please experienced growers if any of this is not right say something, it will help me too. I hope that makes sense. Good luck! Keep us up to date!!!

The haze x skunk freebie seeds stretch quite a bit. I have a couple under 250 watt mh and they have longer stems than other seedlings started at the same time. I had to stake mine for now. They are in soil.

Ok,its been a couple of days since i gave the plant nutes.i have seen alot of growth over the past few days.yesterday and even worse today some of my plant leaves are drooping or starting to curl.
the eco stick said 50-55 ppm when i put the nutes in.i never put in more than that cause i didn't want to burn it.i did add 1 gallon of water to my reservoir.i did this cause i thought the might be burning from nutes.
i feed it every 4 hours for 15 mins.
today it said 40 ppm.do i have nute burn or not enough nutes.
any help is great.
thanks in advance.
