ok so my wife and i took the doggie out into the coutryside yesterday and low and behold right next to the footpath was a duck egg.-i think its a mallard egg:cool:;)
now due to the amount of people out walking their dogs this wouldnt have been intact long so methinks hey its as good as dead left there so into my pocket and home and into my propagator with my clones.:holysheep:
now if it hatches thats going to be a new pet to go with our 5 x hamsters 2 x cats and our 1 x puppy.
so fingers crossed it survives and one day it will be released back into the countryside;)
p.s. the egg is wrapped in cotton wool atm and the clones are rooted so they will be out of the prop very soon

That's pretty cool PJ. Just hope the mother isn't out there looking for it. Have you looked up what temps and conditions are right for hatching eggs? Keep us updated on your egg!

That's great. I hope it hatches for ya. As long as it receives constant temps, it should be just fine. The clones look great, also. Good luck with them. Keep us posted my friend. Take care and be safe.

thanks all for the encouragement and yeh temps about 60-70 will check in few mins and no good mother would leave her egg where this was left like in grass muddy and flattened and no nest.

Whats up PJ. I think this is a first trying to hatch a duck egg in your grow room. :hubba: A good way to tell if the egg is developing is by holding it up to a light bulb. You can see right into it almost like an xray. ;) Good luck with the little guy or girl. :aok:

A duck walks into a bar and says to the bar tender "I'll have a beer".
The bartender says "Hey! where did you come from?"
The duck says "I'm working the construction site across the street".
And the bartender says, "Well why are you working construction when you could be making millions in the circus?"
And the duck said "What would the circus want with a brick laying duck?"
