Trim at 6 days into flower?

I have a question for you sog growers. I am currently growing sog with a 400w hps dwc setup. Since my space already has a full canopy, and the bottom part of the the plants arent getting much light, Should I trim the very bottom branches to get bigger buds from the top? Or would the stress it causes outweigh the yield? I am already 6 days into switching the lights to 12/12.

trim and make clones ;)

Yes. Trim the lower regions that aren't getting sufficient light. That will focus the plant on just the top colas. Just my thoughts. Take care and be safe.
