What Books do you have in your arsenal?
And which do you pickup most often……..
Me I started with
ED ROSENTHAl
“Closet” something or other?
Nice easy read for someone starting out.
MIA now, wish I could find it.
Jorge Cervantes
“Indoor Marijuana Horticulture”
Little bit more in depth.
Kinda like my Bible now.
The 1st one I tend to reach for.
Robert Connell Clarke
“Marijuana Botany”
Much more in depth.
Been back and forth to this one many times.
And glad to have it in my arsenal.
Jorge Cervantes
“Outdoors, Guerilla Growing”
Another easy read and good for those starting out.

Yep, have read just about everything by King. Haven't read Desperation though. The Stand is a great book. So is the Talisman, co written with Peter Straub.
As regards MJ books :
Growing Organic Marijuana Soma Style
The Cannabis Cookbook
Ed Rosenthals "How To Make Your Own Hi-Brew Beer"
The Hemp Goddess

Okay, anyone out there old enough to own or have read "A Child's Garden of Grass? Originally published in 1969 with several printings in the 70s, it is now out of print. This book just cracks me up.
I own "Closet Cultivator" and "Marijuana Grower's Guide" by Mel ands Ed. However, I get most of my info online. You can get specific answers to specific questions or problems. It really doesn't take many crops before you have "outgrown" the books--their information is general in nature, but for someone just starting out, it answers most of the basic questions.
I am a fan of older Stephan King and Dean Koontz novels. I also really like Stephan King's short stories.

Ok, so not old enough to have heard of "A child's Garden of Grass"
I do get what you mean about "outgrowing" the books.
Mine are all well thumbed, with lots and lots of notes scribbled at the top of pages and often in the back pages.
Kinda reminds me of my mums cookbooks.
All those little amendments and trials I have made.
Even with the resources available on-line I would never, willingly, give up my books.

HAHA I did the same thing with that book :48:
had some errors but for the time it was written it was very resourceful. Go Ed
but with the internet I gave up all my grow books. Got a ton of e-books tho.
I do keep the "organic gardening bible" on hand a lot. ;)

Carl Sagans Pale Blue Dot is fantastic. I do enjoy his "Cosmos" when I am baked. Richard Dawkins - Unweaving the rainbow. Really put a lot of things into perspective for me.
Neil Degrasse Tyson - Death by black hole. You cant go wrong with this one if you love astronomy.
Oh, and for grow books. HowTo Hydroponics, and The Indoor Gardner

Mel Frank & Ed Rosenthal - 'cannabis cultivation' I think it's called. It's the Bible. Well indexed. I've read this book 3 or 4 times, backwards and forwards. So to speak. A+
"Ask Ed" compilation from High Times column - a very helpful book to have. Also well indexed. A+
"Invisible Marijuana and Psychedelic Mushroom Gardens" by Robert Bunch - a an entertaining read, very funny and intelligent author, easy to understand, great techniques presented - no index in this book though, not the one to turn to with a question. B-
"Guerilla Gardening" by Cervantes. Another good one, also has a lot of general knowledge covered in the Bible. B+
"Marijuana Horticulture" A purple cover, bud in bulb photo, I think it is a previous edition of the Cervantes book out now by the same name. I give this book a "B+". Covers the same material as the Frank/Rosenthal book, IMO not as well written.
Also have a book simply called "Cannabis: A History" by Martin Booth. A bit dry, but a great read. Picked up for 5 dollars in a Borders bargain bin. I give this one a solid A.

Dark Tower series FTW, by far his Magnus Opus.
Funny story about The Stand. My old man used to be friends with King many many years ago and there is actually a char named after him in The Stand. When my old man passed away he left me his autographed copy of it along with a nice note from King explaining why he used my Dad's name for that char, and autographed copies of Cujo and Salem's Lot. They are among my most prized possesion and thank God my first wife did not get her grubby little skank paws on em when we divorced.
If you have not read his recent book Cell, do so. IMO it is the best thing he has written in years.
