1000w to much?

This is a similar question ive read here. I have a 4x4 closed system grow box and with a 1000w hps air cooled lamp. I have C02 enrichment around 1500 to 2000ppm. My exhaust and c02 are on a timer to turn on and off while the other is on. With this lamp it gives me 62.5 watts per square foot. Do you think my box will get to hot. I dont really want to buy a/c because I dont think my room can take the hit and pop a circuit. Any help will be great.

Yeah I thought so too but at 37 watts per sq foot you think I should be ok.

1000 watts is good and if you have c02 injection you can let the temp in the grow room rise to anything below 100 deg.

I have a 1000W MH running in my box, which is 4 x 4, but I also have a small 120v furnace fan (drawing approx 1.2A) blowing exhaust out of the box at the same time, and it gets up to around 100... passive intake and ambient air temps approx 68 degrees....

Even if your grow room is 98 deg if you have 1500 ppm of co2 going in there you will still be fine.

The more light you have the more buds you have i wish i had a 1000 i am still stuck with a 400 watter

I "believe".. with co2 enhancement, that your temps should run in the loer to mid 90's in order to utilize the enrichment...
IMO, the 1k is fine as far as lumen and wattage are concerned. 60 w/p/sq/ft is far better than 35-40...

Not true. I've seen grows with temps in the high 70's, low 80's with co2, and they did awesome. :hubba:

Yeah thats what I thought Crazy Horse. I was reading in grow book that plants thrive with co2 at temps between 80 and 85. Also that 90 degree temps start to kill plant tissues. I think im going to use a 600w then get co2 and see what happends. Thanks everyone for all your great help.
