Shock my Plants???? My friend said good idea

I showed my friend my plants and he told me to shock them by shutting lights off for 24hrs. Right now there 5 in. tall. What would this do???????
Also he said for flowering do 24 hrs on 24 hrs off??????????
Would this increase my yeild???????????

Any Title that has my friend told me this is always an amusing one, it isnt laughing matyter to you jugga, but its hillarious How many people out there actually pass on some of the weirdest information out there, this one isnt as bad as others i have heard around here.
But to answer your question, dont listen to your friend anymore, if you can go your whole grow without shocking your plants youre one step further than most of us here, Shocking a plant means there is a chance it will become hermie ( first clue youre friend is clueless to growing MJ ).
Anymore light than a 12 hour cycle and your plant will go into vegetative state ( MAJOR clue youre friend is clueless again.. ) so see my friend, just listen to people of MP and you will do just fine.. Good Luck..:aok:

Your friend obviously has NO idea what he is talking about. DO NOT listen to anything he tells you. He told you to do the exact opposite of what you should do!!! Where do people come up this bullshi*? I know a few people like that and it really bugs me. Just stay on this site and ask questions and thats all you need. This forum has taught me everything but you will still learn by your own error. When you want to start budding your plant change the light schedule to 12/12, not 24/24.

Did he happen to mention what would happen? If you really want to shock your plants give them plenty of good water, enough nutes to keep them happy, and lots of light. IMO.

Hey JK.....

If that is all your friend told you to do and leave the whole grow on a 24/24 cycle for the whole flowering cycle then your friend is either clueless or a genious.... in all my reading and chatting with people I have NEVER heard this system for increasing yields.

Now I will be honest with you and have heard several people say that when starting into flower, they will induce their plants to a 24 or 36 hour dark period and then move the plants to the 12/12 cycle. Some people say that this will get the flowering started a lil faster. I do not do this personally so I cannot confirm this, but I have heard of this.


You also, like what was said above, made a MAJOR MISTAKE!!!!.... NEVER, NEVER, NEVER tell anyone or show anyone your grow!!!..... What happens when/if your friend gets popped for possession???? let's make a deal an I will give you a grower if ya let me off.... I have seen it happen many times.
