Today just all of a sudden wreaks.

Up until about 3 PM EST things were going great for me. Pretty mellow day. I woke up early, had time to get on here for a few. Went to work and felt well rested. We did a master reset at work today on the machines, and were told to shut the store down temporarily. Cool! I'm salary, and now I don't have to deal with customers all for about 45 minutes. Fast forward to about 3:00 PM EST, I am just getting home from work, so now I gotta take my baby's momma to work, Cool! I get the house to my self all day! On my way home I get a phone call, and my boss tells me he NEEDS to talk to me before the next morning at work. Uh oh. this is when things started to go downhill. I call him back when I get home, and come to find out the new Manager in training (MY trainee) says we have a renegade MIT and that between the grapevine, he is now going to enforce ALL company policies. This is fine with me. I am all about company spirit, I love my job. But I am no longer allowed to wear my favorite slacks anymore (Because they are faded.) Me and the chick I am training were getting along great, now I find out she's gonna snitch over a pair of comfy pants? I know what ya'll are saying, "You should probably try to look more professional" But I don't work in a 'buisiness atmosphere' I'm a team leader at a gas station, and I'm 19. I think the worn in look looks good, even for work. am I wrong?

Then I got stoned, paranoia is setting in. Am I also going to get re drug tested? Noone at work knows I even know where to GET weed. Suspection isn't an issue. But I haven't made the "Preppy boy" impression on her yet, she may take a stab in the dark at it.

Next, another call comes in. It's the baby's mom, telling me that she is not on the schedule at ALL next week. WHAT?!?!?!?! Her boss got upset with her the other day when she called into work (I had to leave early. We both had food poisoning(Truth)) now her boss is going to take it out on me and the family because she didn't talk directly to the boss? (He was doing the daily bank trip.) She gave 5 hours notice...


GAH!!!!!! I even accidentally deleted this whole thing once already... Had to retype it!!!

If the companies policies are not enforced and you were not given them upon your hire day...by law...and I mean federal civil rights laws they cannot enact new rules without notification. Upon hire date, you accept the job under those conditions...if conditions change you as an employee have to be notified. Big Corporations are all over this stuff (i mean paper work out the butthole..worked for a few myself) but small ma n pa companies are not. But law applies to everyone not just big corps. ;)
