Right now the lights are on for 18 hours and the temp is about 72-73, but when the lights turns off it dips down to 66-67. Is that too cold? Its a 4x4 hydrohut, with air cooled 1000w hood, 4x4 flood table. Thanks.

Those are ideal temps.Ok, thanks. I was worried thats too cold. What about when they flower? Then the light will only be on for 12 hours, so for 12 hours or so it will be around 66, is that ok temps too?

I can't remember who said it on here but it was something to the effect of "Try to think about what the plant would experience in nature as it's most ideal circumstances."
Sounds like lovely temps to me! 70's day time 60's night time.... yea, i could handle that...

Ideally there should be a difference of 10-15 degrees F between light and dark periods.

Ideally there should be a difference of 10-15 degrees F between light and dark periods. Oh cool, I didnt know that! Thanks alot. I have another question if you dont mind, What would be a good distance for the light to be from the top of the plant? They are clones, about 3-4" tall, sitting in a cocoanut cube(?) in rockwool, on a flood table. The light is an air cooled hood 1000w bulb w/ the glass piece.

Sorry Type S150, I have no experience with air cooled hoods so have no idea how close you can get them. I just have a rickety old HPS that buzzes a hell of a lot. Should have my new digital ballast tomorrow though.

I think if you check in the resources section you can find a MH/HPS lighting chart. Should tell you the ideal distance...
