time your lighing to 12 hours on and 12 hours off and your in flowering ;) then when you see pistils you know you have a female.

OK, first thing..... Get those hopeful ladies into a 12 on/12off light cycle. make sure your flowering area is Light tight.... NO leaks... couple pinpoints are OK, Heck,the stars and moon put off light, but for best results, go for no light leaks....


Next thing ya need to do is to pull up a chair and start reading.... Judging by your question, I would estimate that you have good 2 weeks, 12 hours a day of reading to do ), by then you will know if you have a female and will have an idea of what to do next.... and if you have a male you will have plenty of time to start over and read some more )

Oh and one other thing.... Welcome, you have come to the right place if ya wanna learn how to grow smoke. ;)

thanks for the info I'm 66 Young and back in the 70 in san francisco i grew them so tall in my back yard but then i didn't know about the bud we smoked everything,lol now its just the bud every one once so again thanks i'm sure i will be needing more info bye for now grama42

If so, bonus points for innovation. In any case there is such a wealth of knowledge on cannabis cultivation available through search engines and forums, that it's all out of our hands anyway. Nice to see another gramma here! The younger kids laugh when I tell them we used to just smoke everything (well, not stem and seeds). Since I live in the north, I don't think that any of my plants ever really reached maturity--we didn't get 12/12 light outside until late summer and never had enough time before frost for buds to mature. It is an entirely different game than it was in the 60s and 70s. You need to read, read, read...
